Keeping your eyeliner fresher longer…below are some tips to help!

Prior to application, the eye area should be free of eye makeup remover or any unabsorbed moisturizer (the oils in these products can cause your eyeliner to break down and fade quickly).

- Dust your eyelids with a loose or pressed powder.

- For best results, select a ‘highly-pigmented‘ eyeliner product.

- If you’re using an eyeliner pencil, for a most precise application, be sure the tip is sharpened

- Whether using an eyeliner pencil or a liquid liner, draw a very thin line along the base of the lashes (you can thicken the line in the next step).   Keep in mind the purpose of eyeliner is to help the base of the lashes appear thicker.

- Using a thin, stiff eyeliner brush, trace over the eyeliner you’ve just applied with a similar shade of powder eye shadow.  Adding the powder shadow to your eyeliner helps to ’set’ your eyeliner.   This final step also helps to avoid a harsh lined look….instead it provides either a smooth, soft line or a smudged line (thicker lined) appearance.   You can select whichever you look you prefer.

- For daytime, office or school, usually a thin, soft eyeliner looks best.

- For night, you can enhance the eyes to be as dramatic as you like!   Try a smudged, thicker line for a smoky appearance.  Or further enhance the eyes with a fantastic pair of false eyelashes or show-stopping embellished eyelashes!
